What are the benefits of Community Legal Education?
The Illawarra Legal Centre is committed to community legal education and community development within our overall principle of promoting social justice.
Community Legal Education provides opportunities to ask questions, share ideas and look for ways to address gaps in the legal system.
We aim to link casework with community education and law and policy reform work. We adopt a Community Development approach to our work that seeks to build relationships within communities and empower community members to have an effective voice in seeking solutions to issues that affect their lives.
